Hello Guys! I read an article by the XDA-Developers, about recovering from a boot-loop, but it was way to sophisticated for new users. So, I decided to write about it in the easiest possible way for the new users to understand it without trouble.
People around the world are enjoying Android by its allowance of all sorts of customizations. Mainly it involves; Unlocking Boot-loader, Rooting and Flashing. People that are new to all of this, may mess up their phone by flashing incorrectly or flashing a corrupt file. The outcome to flashing improperly mainly leads to a Boot-Loop. When your phone will not go past the manufacturer's logo i.e. Sony, HTC, Samsung etcetera means your phone is stuck in a boot-loop.
People new to this are often panicked and believe that its the end of it. Well the answer is NOT! Remember, you didn't brick your phone, its just stuck in a boot-loop. It happens to all! When I was new to this, I encountered several boot-loops!
Main Reasons of a Boot-Loop:
- You didn't flash the ROM or a Kernel properly
- The file you flashed was corrupt
- You flashed a ROM made for Samsung in HTC (Always remember that ROMS are highly specified for devices that are compatible with it)
- You forgot to wipe Dalvik Cache before flashing a new ROM
Before you begin flashing, first thing to do is to make a back-up from custom recovery. If you have done that, you can easily restore your system from 'back-up and restore' option in the recovery. If you haven't done that, no problem! you can still fix it.
The easiest way of recovering from a bootloop is to wipe the Dalvik-Cache from 'Advanced Options' menu from recovery.(This will only work, if you forgot to wipe the cache before flashing the ROM)
The universal way of recovering from a boot-loop is to flash a new firmware into the phone.(This works for everybody, no matter what)
How To Flash a New Firmware?
First of all, download the required firmware for your device. Now things don't end here! there are a lot of mobile manufactures and each of them have different firmwares for different models. For example, Sony Ericsson Xperia T has its own firmwares and Xperia Z3 has its own.

Sony Xperia owners are the luckiest when it comes to flashing a firmware. Sony has its own Flashtool Software for Windows/Mac, that allows you to flash whatever you want from your PC. Samsung Galaxy also has a software called Odin, that's pretty much the same as Flashtool. So, if you have an Xperia or Galaxy device just download firmware, connect phone in flash mode and flash firmware and you're done. More help about using these flashtools are given on their specific websites. Its not at all hard.
If you have an HTC, Samsung, LG, Motorola or any other device, simply download the respective firmware(search in XDA for required firmware) and flash it in your phone. It is a bit hard to explain in words, plus there are so many smartphones and every smartphone has its own way of flashing. So you can comment below your smartphone maker and model and I shall help you out as soon as possible. Here's a quick video that will help you flash firmware in Samsung Galaxy S4 using Odin.
I have a Kyocera Rise 4.0.4 that is bootlooped and a Samsung Galaxy rush 4.1.2 that is bricked (won't come on or connect to a computer) plz help me get my devices back on line

So both phones were rooted, that's a good news! Well, its really hard to find Kyocera Rise's firmware. If you can get to the recovery, try wiping dalvik cache.
DeleteAs far as it goes for Galaxy Rush, how do you know if its bricked? It could also be in a bootloop with 0% battery left! phone wont start or connect to computer if thats the case

The galaxy rush has a fully charged battery, I even made sure both batteries were fully charged for that device. There us just no sign of life (will not power on), I can't even boot into recovery
OK, so when you connect Rush in the computer, do you hear a sound or something?
