Lahore Lions will participate in Champion’s League T20 2014


Lahore Lions will participate in Champion’s League T20 2014. An official of the Board told “The Indian High Commission has issued visas and we have received the tickets for the Lahore Lions to travel to India on schedule on 9 September. Muhammad Hafeez will lead the Lahore Lions side in Champion League T20. It means that there are strong chances for Pakistani players to be selected in upcoming IPL season.
First of all Lahore Lions have to play qualifying matches of the champions league, and if the team qualifies for the main rounds than it will miss the National T20 tournament being held in Multan Pakistan from Sep 16 to Sep 28. There is also a great news for Lahore lions is that if they qualify for the main rounds, it will get direct entry into the National T20 super Eight event, which will be held in the mid of the next year. Because the winner of super eight event will represent the Pakistan in Champion League. Last year Faisalabad Wolves represented Pakistan in the Champions League on the basis of being the National T20 Champions.
Lahore Lions team includes the big names of Pakistan team like Muhammad Hafeez, Ahmad Shahzad, Umer Akmal, Wahab Riaz and Nasir Jamshed. The complete squad of Lahore Lions for the Champions League 2014 is as follows

Cricket fans from Pakistan are expecting Lahore Lions to play some magical and quality cricket in the Champions League T20 2014 because Lahore Lions Squad for Champions league T20 2014 is a combination of some international cricketers having a lot of experience especially in T20 cricket format and young talent from the domestic cricket of Pakistan. Lahore Lions seems to be a balanced side with capability of tackling and defeating any opponent in Champions League T20 2014.
Lahore Lions will start their participation with the very first opening match of the champion’s league tournament against Mumbai Indians at Chhattisgarh International Cricket Stadium, Raipur. Champions League 2014 is a golden chance for the youngsters to prove their class and potential playing against some of the finest International players from all classes.
“It is a tough challenge for us but the fact that we are playing in India is a big spur on for the players and what gives me confidence is our team combination,” Hafeez told PTI in an interview. The former Pakistan T20 captain Muhammad Hafeez who has played before in India said that his team would have three days in India to organize themselves and gel as a unit.
